Interwoven

Interwoven is a collaboration between London and Portsmouth, Laura's home town. Weaving textile waste across a large scaffolding loom, created by the artists brother. Interwoven is a comment on the industrial scale at which textiles are produced and disposed of, and demonstrates our connectedness to place. The scaffolding loom was weighted down with Portsmouth sand in woven sandbags, borrowed from Portsmouth's shoreline, and placed in Deptford, London.
